So apparently, the explosion at 2:18 was one of the worlds largest rockets that is launched every year for a festival in Spain.
It was the 1st time in 130 years it failed to launch...
Sadly, it killed the operator and injured many others.

That is strange they would launch the rocket from a tower.

Yea, I agree. Somewhere I read said it was 1 rocket. But now you found that picture of multiple rockets. So I guess it must be.

Too many rockets placed too close in holes too small causing a chain combustion ?

Too many rockets placed too close in holes too small causing the rockets too angle and launch at unpredictable angles ? What do you guys and gals think bad design ? i would have used thin metal tubes to guide the rockets not just small holes stamped out of a metal plate . That all said it sad too see a person die .

sorry for the double post sorta i was not able to edit my original post

Yea, should of been a multi-barrel type contraption. But like the history went... 1st time in 130 years it failed. Odd.

they probably launched it from a tower to give it more height and clearance, it's a shame that happened.

This is a typical spanish rocket launcher called a 'Girandole" seen lots of them in footage and almost never they fail.
The times they do fail is Always because of a bad motor wich can cause a mass explosion, they Girandole is safe to use if u know u are dealing with quality products!
