need help with elecrtic matches

I had bought some davey fire clones having trouble making a mix sensitive enough to light with such a fine element any thoughts would be helpful

Are you making your own electric match?

I'm assuming you bought those from Fire-Fox. Are you using the pyrogen kit they recommend for those? I believe it is called the Low Voltage kit. If not and your just trying to make your own pyrogen mix, try dark flash as the primary layer then coated with a BP slurry. You can find detailed instructions on Skylighters website. The ematch heads they sell have a 48-51g wire, which is pretty close to a Davey-Fire.
