500 grams for 1.4G

I found a video of an individual taking apart a shell for a 3 inch 9 shot. Funny thing is, when broke down it was really 1.75. Whats the deal here? Anyone here run into this issue? To stay on the consumer side of things, what are some of the 500 gram cakes one should stay away from? Just looks like one can get ripped off.

All of the 3 inch cakes are 1.75 inch shells put into a 3 inch shell casing. same thing with the so called 2 inch cakes in consumer fireworks.

The largest consumer load will not exceed 60 Grams, no matter what size it says.

9x60 is 540 hmmmm still getting shafted ya. Where is the other 40 grams? In the next firework maybe. Is this a problem in the 1.3G I wonder. Gotta ask.

1.3G is whole different ball-game. Hence why it falls under professional.

At the companies I work for , we have cakes that have tubes the size of little 200g cakes, but pack a punch compared to.

The difference is in the composition of each individual shot. Lets say for example a single consumer 3" cake tube load has between 45 to 55 grams of composition.

A smaller 1.3G 2.5" load can be up to 75 grams. Not to mention flash powder can be used to make a salute.

We also have 1.75" salute shells. There are no 1.75" salutes available to the consumer.
Only ATF licensures.

Thanks a bunch. I at least know whats inside of my purchases. Yep I can feel going up in this hobby a notch. From what your saying, I understand this sort of thing in the pros is unheard of. In reference to pro cakes. The other upside is, you get to load your own show as well.

Personally I would never buy a 3 inch consumer board. Even wholesale they r overpriced! Stick to ur mortars and special effect cakes. 9 Excals going off whoops any 9oab I've ever seen. Just personal opinion thou.

I feel the same way sometimes about the three-inch consumer board cakes. It is probably the same thing as shooting nine canister artillery shells.
