I am looking into applying for a license for manufacture of pyrotechnics, and I was wondering if anyone has done this/has info about how the laws work here in cali. thanks!

You do not need a license to make fireworks for your own use. But that does not mean big firecrackers. And the storage of what you made is another issue. This is why some chemical companies came out with make it and shoot it the same day formulas and projects. Not to belittle you but it sounds like you know very little about this looking at your other post. Since you are from California you should concentrate on purchasing fireworks first. That may be you best option.

Don't worry, I'm not a salute junkie. Unfortunately shooting fireworks is illegal here, without a permit, which is why I am looking into licensing in order to manufacture here and take elsewhere to shoot. I've been purchasing for years now, I'm ready to move up. Currently I am manufacturing/shooting at club events, and am looking to do so year-round. Here are some of the things I have made, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjUC0hcyeUk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6HudY7SuBI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuG_oI5Pix4 just to give you an idea of where I am. Is there an alternative?
