Putting the Boom in Thunder over Louisville

If you ever saw some of my Thunder over Louisville fireworks videos, you may have noticed canon fire coming from one end of Second Street Bridge in Louisville Kentucky. The military firing these canons is incorporated into the fireworks display and different events throughout the day. Here is cool video showing you parts of it.

Pretty awesome, i also love militairy stuff besides fireworks.
But why don't they just use concussions, seems a lot cheaper and efficient?

Yes, When I was in the Army I had a chance to see the 108's live fire. They were pretty awesome!
