Regarding Aerial shells In USA

Hello From India,

Can anybody tell me what is the maximum size of consumer range aerial shells in USA? 1.4g range.are consumers allowed to purchase big shells?

for 1.4g - it is 1.75 inches
For the BIG shells - we in the USA need a federal license from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE)

here in India its 3 or 3.5 inch for consumer range 1.4g fireworks..Why can't america have big consumer range shells? did you know our shells explode right in the middle of city and traffic

AT one time we use to be able to have 2" shells for consumer - but that was a LONG TIME AGO.

reloadable shells are limited to 1.75" but preloaded devices are allowed up to 2.25". In reality very few devices have 2.25" shells the majority are 1.75"

in India the mortar shell comes with lift charge,so once u use it u have to discard it.In america how does the mortar launch the shell(relodable ones) were is the lift charge

In USA most of the shells come packed with lift charge below each shell.. The user has to place them in a HDPE mortar tube carefully and launch them either manually or by a firing system.
