I planning on getting 50 hdpe dr11 tubes and think I'm going to make a 30 shot rack over a 50 shot still deciding tough. I want to make a fanned rake 30 or 50. I know how to make 10 shot racks, but what angles do I put the outside racks at for a 30 and 50? What do the pyrodirect ones come made at?

You can use the 10 shotters as a module for building larger setups then angle them as needed by nailing them together..for tailed effects, mines and candles angling allows for very nice geometric shaped..for tailless shells you can get a good spread in the sky...although a large display...look at that angling especially toward the end when they start shooting of those large tri-color shells..send chills down my spine...you might be able to scale this type of effect down...that would be perfect, but as you see with the smaller racks you actually have much more options! mix and match them as needed for you idea...with 30 shot rack you are actually more limited, as funny as it may seem!

degrees is usually a pretty good starting point. Try it with three shells and adjust accordingly. That will work for larger and smaller product since bigger shells will have bigger breaks and higher deployment and the opposite holds true for smaller shells.

I've posted this before...but it's another example of just outstanding angling

Here's some more ideas..from Japanese choreography techniques that you may find useful...piggy backing is known as kasane-dame...then there's tsuiuchi or 'paired shootings..in which two similar shells are shot from different locations...Oiuchi or chasing shots...is putting two shells up so the explode imediately after one another...Danuchi..is firing the same type of shell of different sizes...you may not be able to achieve this in class C and then there's kayauchi..or rapid firing in succesiion till the sky is filled...This is seen on a typical Western finale...i learned these terms from George Plimpton's book 'Fireworks-A history of Celebration'..maybe some of these ideas will help you on your own designs...sounds like your really getting serious!

I'm assuming this is for comsumer shells. I build all my own racks. I usually space my 30 shot racks with 2 inches of space at the top of the rack. Depending on your shoot site you may want to go wider but 2 inches has worked well for me. You really don't need much angle with consumer shells. I really hope this helped..

So just measure 2 inches on top and push the bottoms together.

pretty much you can mess around with the angles if you want but find the angle you want and tack them in place and be sure before you start screwing or nailing it together whichever you are doing
