Open Shoot for Pyrotalk members in October

Ok before I get to involved with setting this up I need to see what the interest is for all you pyro's out there. We did a nice shoot in June which Dave videoed and I have been asked about doing an open shoot again. If I get a good response I will set it up, All you need to do is reply to this post if your interested.

Your about five miles from Lee Supply to the shoot site. Easy to get there.

I would make it, let me know what kind of room we have for distances for shell sizes. Should be a great time.

well the big question is how many plan to come. the shell size is limited to 6". the issue is the closeness of other shooters based on size I'm not a club shooter so figuring on who comes and who isn't may be hard...

I think you are correct - there is a shoot same weekend. I guess a person can not be 2 places at same time...:)

Well we aint no cracker jacks, we dont ask you to pay a membership and we aint asking nobody for nothing. If you want to shoot you show up and shoot. I will be checking for qualifications of course, We just want to be safe and mainly have FUN... Oh yeah where is the crackerjack location anyway IRELAND nope VIRGINIA ..but for some it might as well be IRELAND. Sorry I shoot damn near every weekend we just want to have good people get together and enjoy a FALL SHOOT! We are not a club we aint trying to compete with them so if you cant come here then go there. I may do some fun competition and add prizes but again it's all in fun!

Calm down!!! There wasn't any malice intended in pointing out a possible schedule conflict for some people!! It's all about enjoying the hobby, so, have a good time regardless of where you are shooting at!

Who's biting, thats the problem with written words people assume there own context to how they are being spoke. It's just how I write! But again I'm not a club so if I say anything about conflicting with the date I guess it would be taken out of context again. If this keeps growing it may be a good idea to add a new years shoot. And just to be sure everyone knows the date is Oct 20. If anyone is coming in Friday and I will see if I can have a Bonfire Maybe even a costume party and DJ. It's all about us pyro's out there good people great fun.

There is really a need for new fireworks club or get together in the western part of Pennsylvania. John you seem to be doing a good job getting things going. This is usually how many current fireworks clubs start out and then grow every year.
I am currently a Crackerjack member however the club is going through some tough times with the loss of the regularly used property in Virginia. They are now contemplating if the Crackerjacks will be predominantly a Virginia club or a Pennsylvania club. With the next meeting held in Virginia I can predict the direction of the vote.

It may be too late for any fireworks sales now but in the future when a permit is obtained, consider getting it to include fireworks sales. This way if someone is licensed to sell fireworks in Pennsylvania we can have vending. Although next year the PGI convention is coming to Pennsylvania in August.

Yep I am hoping I can swing a full line kellner backed product line next year so I am sure things will only grow from there. I have a bunch of irons in the pot keeping everyone burning so I can see what the best way to go is.

What are the specific qualifications you are looking for? I'm curious for the future...I can't buy shells but I can rustle some up, safely, in a hurry as long as I don't store them...please tell me more, for future reference...for me a type 54 is out of the question..not gonna happen! can one just come to observe and meet people..even if not shooting?

yes anyone can come and as for shooting I require you have several shoots under your belt, we dont want this to be a training exercise we want this to be fun and looking over your shoulder isn't any fun. I think you understand what I'm saying! Type 54 not required you can shoot 1.3-1.4 or mixed I just want to have a safe fun day.

P.s. if your planning on comin I need to be contacted or the event will cancel, I only have 3 locals and I dont want this to be one of those I'm coming then not show events. Contact me asap info was listed 2 posts up.
