Well, i just read your post in the other forum..lol
So, kind of redundant to reiterate, but
Listen the lead, never lean over a loaded gun, Bust hump... They will see you are a good worker, if not sure just ask

I myself would love to get involved with a professional company. What would be the first step? I am a great laborer. It has actually been my job title for the last 10 years almost. I have done high rise construction to residential demolition and not to mention my years in the service. Currently I am a laborer for a fire and water damage restoration company in Philadelphia. Laboring with the setup of racks? A labor of love!! Dream Job! I dont care for the pay, even if its minimum wage pay lol. I just want to do it because, what happens after the setup..... is all the reward I need. You cant be any more pyro, then a PYROMANIAC!!!! lol.

exactly 2 hours on google maps time at 55mph, so prob an hour and 30 min my time. its 99 miles.
I drove 100 miles to a little town called Mahanoy City last weekend, it only took a little over an hour and 20 minutes, but that was at 4am.

lol I was thinking the same thing, seeing it on the other forum. But also good advice.
If you see people carrying 1 rack at a time then carry 2 at a time. It might be hard at first but once you have done a few shows then think 2-3 steps ahead during setup. If it's anything like the company I work for then you will have a few hours after setup to do whatever, so thats when I would ask other questions that you might have. Have fun because it's the best experience. Even with all the work it's 110% worth it.

Yeah, sorry guys. I posted on both forums to widen the net for advice. I appreciate everyone's help. It seems that some have had some negative experiences with melrose pyro. Anyone here have a similar experience with this company?

kg, where do you live in Illinois? I watch (well mostly listen cause the trees have grown too tall) the Cougars fireworks from my backyard every night they have em during the summer.

Yes Joe, we visited the abandoned St. Nicholas Coal Breaker and took many pictures. Most of my family live not far from there also, Hazleton.

I like that advice!!! That way, the old guys like me don't have to carry so many racks!!! LOL! Age has it's perks, I guess!

Melrose is awesome. The company I work for during the summer was Melrose South Pyrotechnics, until we branched off into our own company 3 years ago.

KG I've seen both post and I think I know you or at least your old man. If it's Frank I worked years with him. Don't worry about the na sayers about Melrose. Melrose is the best in the business I know this is a year old post but I hope you are still with Melrose. say hello to little Frankie.
