anyone using the veline color system

i just started making my own stars using the veline color system last year and was interested in knowing if anyone else had used it? I find it very easy and the stars work great, also you can make an array of different colors.

You must not have tried much than they are a good starting point and have the distinct advantage of all being of similar brightness so they can be used quite well in conjunction with one another but if your not using them together I recommend branching out for a similar red try buell red you wont be disappointed or go for a nitrate based red as for green emerald green is much more vivid as are other high nitrate content greens jive it a go if veline is still your favorite than stick with it after all you make pyro to please yourself (and your friends and family)

Well I have used them for about 30 years. They generally work, but as they say, are not outstanding in any particular way. This system takes very few chemicals to make any hue desired.

Welcome to the forums, it is always nice to have fireworks builders share their knowledge. For those unfamiliar with the Veline Color System here is brief overview.
Robert Veline created this fireworks star system and intentionally put it in the public domain. When you look at it, you can see that it uses very similar firework chemical ingredients and proportions for many of the different fireworks star colors, making this an extremely versatile fireworks star color set: you can create any color you want using only ten firework chemicals!

I have used the system, and it is useful, but not outstanding in any particular way with the exception that all the stars are parlon/acetone bound, making them waterproof. This easy to make cut stars have been a favorite of many pyros.
