Type 54 update and a question

So I had my interview with the BATF on April 27th and I got tired of waiting for those blue envelopes to arrive in the mail. I called the ATF licensing center and talked to a very nice woman who informed me that my license was issued on May 23rd and should be arriving soon.

My question is can anyone tell me how long from when the Type 54 is "issued" to when they actually mail it or you receive it. I don't know if anyone actually looked at their license issued date after they received it.

it took me 10 days after my interview to get my blue envelopes.

My papers all say date of notice on the papers 4/26 and mailed 4/27 and came 4/30.

I don't think I would be able to sleep knowing that I was approved but just didn't have the proof.

It took about 10 days from interview to receiving it in the mail.

I still have not recieved my license I the mail so I contacted the ATF's licensing center again and they said it should have arrived several days ago. They are issuing me another one. I just hope that it was not stolen and that someone will be trying to use it

What did they say about it? they show any concern?

Not really which concerned me a little. They just said they would re-issue me another one and it will be in the mail tomorrow. I am hoping that it just got lost or damaged by the post office

Just be patient. If the ATF can provide you something that has your number on it - you have been approved.
If need be - the ATF can fax to the company you are buying from a copy of the approval letter and then you are good to go. They use to do that to our customers all the time - i think it was either 6 or 7 years ago they were really late with alot of people that year.
Heck they were even late with our importers license one year
