I thought it was some kind of urban slang. Like check out “Deez Nuts” lol
Actually, that looks cool. I will assume it is propane.
One of my youtube subscribers from the Netherlands sent me a video of a similar event they do. Here is the video

im thinking the "kicking" of the cylinder must hit some kind of piezoelectric igniter....like when you push the button on your propane grill. I doubt with that much propane contained that you'd want your body that close to the ignition source.....
just a guess though

Dave, when you mentioned the Netherlands and I saw that video it reminded me of a site a came across a few years ago. Carbidkanon.com is a site where they made a canon similar to the ones in the video you posted. They have some videos of them firing it with an electric igniter and what I thought was a way of making hydrogen (acid and some sort of metal chunks). But the more I think about it the "acid" always catches on fire at the end and when they tip it out to clean it and refire, I dont see the chunks they put into the three containers of liquid. If it was metal and acid, the metal should still be there in some form and the acid shouldnt catch fire but im not a chemist so I really dont know. In one of the videos they have a barrel of the liquid, but I couldnt tell what it was. Its been a while since ive been to the site and maybe some of the videos show more about how they fire.

Now if they were to put some stabilization fins on the barrels----
